Sweet Second Home

For some time i was thinking in taking some photographs of my home in Second Life, but you know, didn’t found the time. But some days ago i though: “Why to take only some pics when i can do a simple machinima? People will see the same and will be fun to make it.”.
So here it is. After i bought a new computer some months ago is easier for me to make machinimas with decent frame rates, in the old computer that was impossible. For the image capturing i used iShowU and for the edition, iMovie 09.
Hope you like it and, sincerly, it feels good to show my small peaceful space.
SLblogger Appreciation post #1: Winter Jefferson as seen by Raul Crimson

For a long time i wanted to pay tribute to the bloggers i really like, i know some time ago an SLBloggers Appreciation Week was organized… but well, i was not on time (as usually 
) so i decided to make it by my own. There are some bloggers i specially like, sometimes for their style writing, or the topics they write about, or how they are personally. This series of posts starting with this one will have always photos of my avatar edited as i see them, the Raul Crimson version of them. Some say imitation is the biggest form of adulation, well, i don’t pretend to imitate them, is more to show how i see them, and well, i don’t pretend to adulate them, only to express my gratitude for the great moments of read they are giving me.
Winter Jefferson doesn’t use to wear wings, i know, is just a personal touch. From his blog Winter shares his opinions about fashion, his projects and his thoughts. Covering specially male fashion from his own angle, as he says he is “The only sardonic Australian Vampire knight fashionisto on the grid. So far.” 
Is not only his really good work as blogger, for his blog and for the Rezzable one, is also his Plurk profile and how he is personally. Is somebody really respectful, sweet, always trying to help and with a good word for anybody. And, sincerely, when there’s so much drama and “bitching” around is always a pleasure to read anything from him.
This is my way to say thanks to him, for all those moments of enjoyment, for all the kind words and for all the help, crazy fun moments and conversations.
By the way, a friend mentioned this picture here it seems he is just too excited touching his chest, i presume i can’t stop being myself even i’m trying to imitate someone. 
“Gender”, tiny SL-photography show @ Pride Festival 2009

Thanks to Eric Quimby, who donated the space, i’m running an small SL-photography show at Second Pride Festival 2009. Images by Silverdrake Sparrow, Lacie Babenco and myself about some visions about “Gender” as a human issue. I’d like to paste here part of the notacard for the show:
Gender is one of the most important human topics. It defines us, personally and socially, and sometimes it can be hard to combine this two sides of it. What happens when the social and personal sides are not fitting? What if you accept your gender but not the social stereotypes?
In this space three SL-photographers tried to show some visions about Gender. Silverdrake Sparrow with her images about the stereotypes, asking why the heroine can’t save the boy instead of the tradition in culture. Raul Crimson talks about the social limits of gender with characters using crossed attributes or attitudes. Lacie Babenco with the power of gender to define us deeply and simply, the naked truth.
Gender is still an issue in a virtual world, even we all have the freedom to choose here the issues remain or even get bigger. Be free to be yourself, choose who you want to be and ask respect for your election.
It was opened on May 23rd and will be there for one week, while Second Pride Festival is running. I’d love if you visit it and share your opinion here, here you are the SLurl.
This year Second Pride will support the work of Amnesty International and their work against homophobia in the world, specially but not only in China, Middle East, Africa and Eastern and Central Europe. Is a good time to remember there are some countries were being homosexual is illegal and has penalties from being some months in jail, life in prison or even death penalty. Take a look at the Wikipedia for more information about this.

The beauty of Second Life®

Sometimes you can be upset, tired, bored… Sometimes you wonder why you are still in Second Life… then you see a video like this one, and you remember why you are here, what you love here…
This machinima by Sam Lowry made me smile and remember one of the reasons i have to love Second Life, its beauty, the beauty we build together day by day. Ok, is pretty chaotic too, but well, i presume that’s part of its beauty too.

Some like a fashion post #2: Hey, Mr. DJ!

Here again with a “fashion post”. Well you know this post is not about fashion, but i just feel in the mood to share an outfit i like from time to time.
This time i was feeling… club-ish… I love colour Red and i think it looks good on me. About some details, first the shoes by HOC, are great, cheap, nice and full of options!, then some details made by Menno Ophelia for Kari, his store, the “cassette” necklace and the “Audio-wire” bracelet. I think complements give to any outfit an special touch, like the headphones, a freebie i had from Aitui like 2 years ago.
